This painting was done from a photograph I took on a little hike with my family and kids. There's something spectacular to me about looking up as afternoon golden light streams through the trees. It stops me in my tracks. Whether it is the redwoods, ponderosas, firs, pines, hemlocks, cedars, when that sunlight hits just right and leaks color through the branches and on the leaves and soil on the ground, it always feels like a spiritual moment or like magic exists. This painting is for those of you who resonate with this feeling too!
