This piece was originally painted following a trip to Bend and the Cascade Mountains in 2015, when I brought my husband to Central Oregon for the first time. From that moment, we dreamed of being able to move to Bend, and two years later, we did! This painting represents a new dawning, personally, and also shows the beautiful warm sunlight as it hits the cool tones of South Sister and Sparks Lake in the morning.
